“Bringing an analytical, systems-based perspective to individualized care.”
Priscilla Hui is a BC Registered TCM Practitioner (R.TCM.P.) and Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.), trained at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with a BSc in Nutritional Science from UBC and an MSc in Information Systems Management from the City University of Hong Kong. Before dedicating herself fully to TCM, she spent many years in senior information systems management at multinational corporations — an experience that shaped her “trace the connection, find the root cause” approach to holistic, personalized care. She focuses on stress-related imbalance, digestive health, pain management, and women’s health.
Before dedicating herself fully to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Priscilla spent many years in senior information systems management at multinational corporations. The fast-paced, high-pressure nature of that career gave her a deep, personal understanding of the physical and emotional effects of prolonged stress, including disrupted sleep, persistent fatigue, digestive symptoms and muscle tension.
Just as untangling a complex corporate system requires tracing every process back to its source, understanding the human body demands the same discipline — identifying connections and uncovering root causes. Guided by clarity of purpose and deep respect for health, Priscilla made a deliberate mid-career transition into Traditional Chinese Medicine. She completed a rigorous five-year, full-time Bachelor’s program in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, followed by clinical rotations at Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine, a leading tertiary teaching hospital. There, she trained directly under Professor Jin Shi, whose clinical work focuses on TCM approaches to digestive and rheumatological conditions, where she was exposed to a rigorous approach to diagnosis and treatment and gained clinical experience with complex gastrointestinal and rheumatology/immunology cases. Through rotations across multiple specialties, she also built a solid clinical foundation spanning internal medicine, external medicine, gynecology, acupuncture, and Tuina.
Her multidisciplinary background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nutritional Science and Information Systems gives her a broad perspective on health, combining traditional diagnostic thinking with a structured, analytical approach to each patient’s individual circumstances. Priscilla has developed a clear, well-grounded, and highly personalized approach to patient care:
A Thoughtful, Attentive Consultation: Priscilla values every consultation, taking the time to truly listen and observe, so she can build a long-term treatment plan that genuinely fits your life.
Clear, Transparent Communication: Priscilla explains her clinical thinking, treatment approach and recommendations in clear, straightforward language.
An Interdisciplinary Lens: By combining TCM’s holistic diagnostic framework with a modern understanding of nutrition and metabolism, she looks beyond symptom management to evaluate constitution, lifestyle, and diet as a whole.
Priscilla is committed to combining classical TCM diagnosis and treatment with practical lifestyle guidance, with particular focus on:
Stress, Sleep & Nervous System Health: Restless sleep, persistent fatigue, tension headaches, and chronic neck and shoulder tightness linked to prolonged stress.
Digestive & Metabolic Health: Digestive symptoms, including reflux, indigestion, bloating and constipation, as well as nutrition and lifestyle factors affecting metabolic health.
Pain & Musculoskeletal Conditions: Acupuncture and TCM-based management of chronic strain, joint discomfort, and musculoskeletal issues.
Women’s Health: Menstrual irregularities, premenstrual and period-related discomfort, menopausal symptoms, and individualized care across different stages of life.
Diet & Lifestyle Integration: Clear, practical, and actionable dietary and lifestyle guidance tailored to individual constitution — including supportive care following cancer treatment and individualized dietary and lifestyle guidance to support recovery, manage treatment-related symptoms, and restore overall wellbeing.
